The SPLG (Standard Pattern Layout Gauge) will allow for fast, accurate and repeatable hole pattern layout for beginner or experienced kydex holster makers. The hole spacing is the widely used 3/4”(.750) inches on center. This standard hole spacing will accommodate a vast array of mountings such as belt loops, Blade-tech Tek-Lok™. Molle-lok™, UltiClip™ and many more. Use the fence on the SPLG to achieve perfect layout from the edge of your holster or sheath every time with holes 3/8 (.375) in from the top, bottom and side edges. Hole layout is simple, use the SPLG with a ¼ transfer punch. Simply place the SPLG on the edge of your holster and insert the transfer punch inside each hole of the SPLG pressing down or lightly strike with a hammer. A mark will be transferred to your kydex making accurate drilling easy! Use the SPLG without the fence to achieve layout where ever you see fit. Once layout is complete you are ready to drill holes using a brad point drill bit. We do not recommend using the SPLG as a drill guide. The SPLG is made from T6061 aluminum and is Type II hard anodized. However, the SPLG will not stand up to use as a drill guide and the accuracy of the SPLG will quickly be lost if it is used in this manor. The SPLG is 100% American made!
